I can’t tell you how much this pisses me off. Not only does this douchebag punch the shit out of a Korean senior citizen, but he rattles off some bullshit about having served six years in Iraq like as if this makes it all permissible.
I’ve seen this shit before. Some guy comes back from damn near having his balls blown off and thinks it gives him free reign to act like a dick to whoever he wants because he “served” his country–the my-sacrifice-paid-for-your-freedom type veteran.
I couldn’t care less whether he was provoked or not, this type of shit is unacceptable. That old sap could’ve been killed.
He’s a disgrace to the United States and any disciplined solider who takes up arms in her defense.

Really Blackchild? I saw that video as well, but the jughead that assaulted the old man takes the cake in my opinion. I don’t know what was said between the old woman and the middle schooler, so I can’t speak much on it (though truly, the shit was foul), but I do know that U.S. war vets should have more discipline than what was displayed in the posted video. Opposite ends of the same spectrum?
Now that’s a bloody shame.
It’s really disgusting seeing an elder being treated like that. What’s even more shameful is that someone didn’t put a tighter hold on that shell shocked fool or lay him on his back when he became aggressive. I truly hope he gets his fair share of punishment from the Korean judicial system.
On a side note, the video with the Ahjumma and middle school student was crazy. I don’t fully know how I feel about it yet.
Yeah I was also surprised somebody didn’t jaw jack the vet when he decided to go on his rampage. If it indeed took place in Itaewon, I can’t imagine there weren’t any other foreigners around who would have been equally disgusted. Oh, and about the subway scuffle? I don’t know how i feel about it either. Maybe the girl was out of line, but did she deserve to get yanked around by granny? Probably not. I’d love to hear what Koreans think on this matter.
wait so a small preteen can reasonably talk herself into an ass kicking but an adult male can’t. The assault on the kid was more brutal , lasted longer, and was witnessed by more people. That girl didn’t have anybody intervene on her behalf. And the reality is if that Army guy really wanted to decimate the old guy I doubt there is anything the other two guys could do to stop it.
I don’t know man. The teenie bopper might have said some disrespectful shit but in my opinion, you shouldn’t put hands on a child that’s not your own. Also being that there were more people to witness it, somebody should have stopped it. There were people there to intervene, they just chose not to. And I didn’t see the granny throw punches, just yank the girl around violently.
As far as the shell shocked army vet, yes, he could have done more damage if he wanted to, but he could have also walked away and let the old fart continue to be a soju ridden drunk. I’m not really sure how you figure the subway assault was more brutal. Lieutenant dickhead put fist to head. Yes, a grown man can talk his way into an ass kicking, but a fucking 70 something year old grandpa? I also don’t see how it matters that the other two guys in the video would not have been able to hold back the vet if he really wanted to continue fighting. you’ve got to have some fucked up issues if you need to prove your toughness by fighting the old and senile.
This really really gets my blood boiling. It’s an extreme example of why I don’t seek out western friends or places where I’ll find a crowd of drunk foreigners.
There is no question that the drunk soldier was the #1 culprit in the *severity* of the incident. Yes, the old man could have done or said something horridly offensive or obnoxious. But still…I wonder what kind of soldier he was if this is how he reacts to a drunk ajussi–how did he handle himself under fire? Equally undisciplined and explosive?
The other sad part is that the only people trying to help were two Korean guys (it looked like). While all the foreigners stood by. If the cameraman is trying to get this on tape for evidence (doubtful), then his buddy he was talking to should have gotten help from the DOZENS of equally beefy guys inside the bar.
